土，是我生命中最熟悉的材料。
一種土在田裡，涵養四時風雨，孕育作物生長；另一種土握在手中，經過揉捏、塑形與燒製，成為創作的載體。日復一日穿梭於農田與工作室之間，逐漸明白，耕種與創作本質相同，皆是將時間慢慢養進土裡。「沃」，意指滋養與滿盈；「土」，為萬物生成之根基。沃土既是田間的豐饒，也是掌心的溫度，在時間沈積之處，生命默默醞釀。
在創作時捕捉生命中聚集、生成與轉化的狀態，作品裡呈現的堆疊、萌發與生長，都來自多年與土地相處的經驗，也來自雙手反覆塑造陶土所留下的身體印記。那些層層累積的形體，如同沃土中的孕育與發酵，記錄著生命穿越時間之後，所散發出的厚度與能量。
土不只是物質，它承載時間、封存回憶，也繁衍未來。沃土延續生命的可能，也使日子在無聲滋養中，於田野與手心之間不斷生成。
Clay is the material I know most intimately.
One kind of earth lies in the fields, nourished by the changing seasons, giving life to crops. Another rests in my hands, transformed through kneading, shaping, and firing into the medium of artistic creation. Moving each day between farmland and the studio, I gradually came to understand that farming and making share the same essence: both are ways of patiently cultivating time within the earth.
The Chinese character "Wo" (沃) signifies nourishment, abundance, and flourishing, while "Tu" (土) means earth—the very foundation from which all life emerges. Fertile Earth is both the richness of cultivated land and the warmth held within the palm. Wherever time settles, life quietly takes root.
Through my work, I seek to capture the processes of gathering, becoming, and transformation. The layers, sprouts, and organic growth embodied in these sculptures arise from years of living alongside the land, as well as from the physical traces left by my hands through the repeated shaping of clay. These accumulated forms resemble the incubation and fermentation of fertile soil, recording the depth and vitality that life acquires as it journeys through time.
Earth is more than a material. It carries time, preserves memory, and nurtures the future. Fertile Earth sustains the possibility of life, allowing our days to continue unfolding through silent nourishment, between the fields and the human hand.
藝術家介紹｜卓銘順
卓銘順，1968年生於新北市鶯歌，自幼浸潤於陶瓷文化。1995年成立個人陶藝工作室，專職創作逾三十年；2009年取得國立臺灣藝術大學工藝設計學系藝術碩士，2022年獲邀成為聯合國教科文組織國際陶藝學會（IAC）會員。
其創作以陶土為核心，擅長手工陶板成形，發展出兼具雕塑美感與實用功能的語彙。他關注器物使用所生成的「互動」與「情感」：在觸摸、使用與時間累積中，作品不只是被觀看的物件，更成為連結身體感知、人際共感與生命經驗的媒介。作品造型常帶有有機生長的韻律，融合哲學思考與細膩工藝，呈現溫潤而富生命感的當代陶藝面貌。
卓銘順曾獲台北陶藝獎首獎、兩屆台灣金壺獎金獎及韓國國際陶藝雙年展金獎等肯定。作品典藏於鶯歌陶瓷博物館、國立臺灣工藝研究發展中心與韓國京畿陶瓷美術館，展覽足跡遍及亞洲與歐洲。創作之外，他亦長期投入教學、講座、評審與國際交流，持續推動陶藝文化傳承，探索陶藝與當代生活的更多可能。
